Lorie Jocius wins top honours at Best of CAMA

Published on 12 December 2013

It was a big night in Quebec City at the Best of CAMA awards for the Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show (COFS) team, with two big awards being handed out to COFS team members.

Lorie Jocius, who along with her late husband, Ginty Jocius, co-founded the farm show more than 20 years ago, took home the evening’s top prize being named “Canadian Agri-Marketer of the Year.”

“This is a huge honour as I now stand in the company of some great communicators in the Canadian agri-food sector, including Ginty who received the same recognition almost 20 years ago,” says Jocius after receiving her award.

The Best of CAMA also awarded COFS Team Lead Stefanie Nagelschmitz with the CAMA Ontario Honour Roll award in recognition of her contributions to the CAMA Ontario Chapter throughout the year.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of such a dynamic professional organization like CAMA,” says Nagelschmitz. “I feel very grateful to those who have nominated me. It was a special surprise.”  PD
